No! Go! is a delightful children's picture book written by Holly Schmidt with illustrations by Hiruni Kariyawasam. It engages young readers with interactive questions, asking them what they should and should not do, and teaches them important lessons about safety and decision-making through a fun narrative. The concept of choosing between No! or Go! encourages children to participate and think about their actions. The book introduces two friendly kids who guide young readers throughout the book, helping them learn the right way to approach various daily activities. Children will learn the right place to jump, throw a ball, or run around and whether it is okay to hug a porcupine or their parents. The book also covers activities like cutting things, drawing or painting, and more.

It is important to teach children proper behavior and boundaries when they engage in physical activities or interact with others. They need to learn where it is safe to play and that exhibiting harmful behavior is not acceptable. Holly Schmidt's book, No! Go!, does this in a fun way, and encourages creativity through activities like drawing and painting, which can help foster emotional and cognitive development in children. This book not only entertains but also promotes early literacy skills, making it an excellent choice for baby showers and class activities. The colorful illustrations perfectly correspond with the narrative and depict a cute boy and girl that young readers will find relatable. No! Go! is a great option for parents and educators who want to teach children about making good and safe choices.
